At the April 8 City Council Meeting, Fire Chief David Jones presented the Addison Fire Department’s 2024 Annual Report, highlighting key achievements and performance metrics from the past year.
In 2024, AFD responded to 4,099 service calls, with an average response time in Addison of 3 minutes and 4 seconds—well below the national standard and that of Addison's neighboring cities. The department also emphasized its commitment to public education, professional development, and continuous improvement, including the addition of new equipment and updated training initiatives.
