Town Staff Working to Resolve Utility Billing Disruptions

The Town continues to experience issues with utility payments mailed through the United States Postal Service (USPS). In November, staff became aware of multiple mailed payments being returned or not delivered. A service request was submitted to USPS, and on November 10, USPS confirmed that the Town’s PO box was valid and that the delivery issue had been resolved.

In January, the staff again identified additional instances of mailed payments not being received and contacted the local post office for further support. Staff also connected with the vendor that prints and mails utility bills to reset the scanline on payment coupons to help improve mail scanning and delivery accuracy. USPS mail processing changes at the national level have contributed to similar delivery challenges for other businesses and customers.

As staff continues working to resolve the matter, residents who experience any issues with their utility account are encouraged to contact Utility Billing at 972-450-7081 for assistance.
