At the December 10 City Council meeting, representatives from OJB Landscape Architecture presented the Addison Circle Park Vision Plan. Rooted in a desire to be Authentically Addison, the plan reimagines the park as a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable space that fosters community connections and celebrates Addison’s unique identity.

Guided by a Vision Plan Statement developed by the Advisory Committee, the plan builds on the park’s success and focuses on growth and evolution. Key objectives include:

  • Designing for year-round activities and events of all sizes.
  • Increasing daily visitorship and encouraging visitors to linger longer.
  • Integrating the park with surrounding developments and venues.
  • Preserving essential event spaces while enhancing areas for recurring programming.

At the January 28 meeting, the Council revisited the topic with a presentation focused on operational needs for implementing the vision plan. This discussion highlighted the importance of developing strategies for park management, programming, maintenance, and security.
