On Thursday, April 2, at the request of the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), a statewide test of emergency alerting systems will occur between 10am and 12:30pm. As part of this drill, local jurisdictions across Texas may test systems used to notify the public during emergencies.This will only be a test. No emergency action is required.

The Town of Addison has been recognized as a recipient of the 41st Annual Governor’s Volunteer Awards, administered by OneStar and the Texas Commission on Volunteerism and National Service. This prestigious award is the highest honor for volunteerism in Texas, celebrating organizations that mobilize people to serve and strengthen their communities.
The Community Champion award recognizes groups that lead the way in civic engagement by making volunteerism more accessible and impactful. Award recipients demonstrate a commitment to addressing community needs through meaningful initiatives, outreach programs, and collaborative partnerships.
