DART representatives hosted a breakfast at La Spiga Bakery on Wednesday, June 4 to share the latest updates on the Silver Line Regional Rail Project, which is on track to begin service this fall.
The Addison Station is now 95% complete, and all pedestrian bridges and at-grade crossings along the line are finished. While the pedestrian bridge over the Tollway is built, it is not yet open. Please do not use the adjacent rail bridge - active testing is underway across all seven Silver Line cities. End-to-end testing is scheduled to begin soon for DART to obtain the necessary approvals from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
Once operational, Silver Line trains will run daily from 4am to 12:30am. During peak hours (6–9am and 4–7pm), trains will arrive every 30 minutes and every hour the rest of the day, with flexibility for special events. Travel time from Addison to DFW Airport will be just 32 minutes. Each train will have both a conductor and an engineer, and DART Police will be stationed at stops and onboard. Reports made through DART’s GoPass app are sent directly to DART PD, who coordinate closely with local police departments.
