At the June 10 City Council meeting, Police Chief Chris Freis and Texas State Representative Cassandra Garcia Hernandez recognized two Addison Police Officers for their exceptional bravery and service.

Officer Beasley received two honors: the Medal of Valor for his courageous response during a January incident in which he was injured while protecting others from a gunman, and the Life Saving Award, shared with Sergeant Davis, for rendering critical aid to both a fellow officer and the suspect following the confrontation.

Sergeant Davis was recognized again for a separate act of heroism. On March 30, he pulled a woman to safety from a burning vehicle just moments before it exploded. His quick thinking and calm response likely saved her life. For this extraordinary effort, he was awarded the Meritorious Conduct Bar.

These awards reflect the outstanding courage, skill, and compassion of Addison’s officers in the line of duty. Please join us in thanking them for their service.
