Addison Art: Moment of Progression

The Addison Art Gallery is proud to present Moments of Progression, a new exhibition by artist and educator Keith Williams. Originally from Northern California and now based in Texas, Williams earned both his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees with honors from Southern Methodist University. His work draws inspiration from the subconscious mind, dreams, and the ways we experience time, movement, and change.

Through paintings and drawings featuring figures, animals, and landscapes, Williams creates layered visual narratives that invite viewers to look beyond the surface. Influenced by Cubism, Surrealism, and classical art traditions, he deconstructs and reimagines forms to offer new perspectives and interpretations.

“My art deals with figures and environments,” Williams says. “The ideas of progression, time, and movement influence my work.” By breaking down and rebuilding forms, he creates dynamic compositions that explore both personal experiences and broader observations about the world around us.

In addition to his professional art practice, Williams has taught fine art at Richland College since 2008. Moments of Progression offers visitors an opportunity to experience his distinctive artistic vision and explore works that challenge perception, spark curiosity, and encourage reflection.

Visitors are encouraged to drop by Addison Town Hall at 15600 Addison Road during regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm) to enjoy the artwork. Moments of Progression will be on display until August 4. It’s an easy, no-cost way to experience Addison’s growing arts community.
