Pilots and businesses are encouraged to follow preferred flight paths, use recommended altitudes, and take practical steps to minimize noise whenever possible. While the FAA controls regional airspace and sets flight procedures for safety, the Good Neighbor Campaign focuses on the choices pilots can still make within that system to be considerate neighbors. Safety always comes first, but these steps help limit noise when conditions allow.
Addison is part of a busy North Texas airspace network, but noise is also a quality-of-life issue for our residents. That is why the Town continues working with Addison Airport users to inform, educate, and reinforce noise-reducing practices year-round. Residents can learn more about aircraft noise, flight patterns, and what the airport can and cannot control on the Noise Concern page at addisonairport.net. The page also includes a simple online form to report specific noise issues so airport staff can investigate and follow up. When you submit a concern, details like the date and approximate time, your location, and what you noticed are very helpful.
If you ever have specific noise concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact Airport Director Jaime Edrosa at jedrosa@addisontx.gov.
