The Addison Police Department has recently received several reports from East Addison residents regarding random gunfire originating from the White Rock Creek area and/or from across the creek within the City of Dallas. The safety and well-being of our residents remain a top priority. The Addison Police Department has a zero-tolerance approach to unlawful firearm activity that threatens public safety. In response to these concerns, the Addison Police Department has increased patrols in the area and is actively collaborating with the Dallas Police Department to identify the source of these incidents and address the problem.
Residents are encouraged to immediately report any suspected gunfire or related suspicious activity to both the Dallas and Addison Police Departments. Timely reporting provides law enforcement with valuable information to identify patterns, direct resources, and support enforcement efforts.
