At its October 13 meeting, the City Council approved a $697,500 professional services agreement with Garver, LLC for the design and engineering of the next phase of improvements at Addison Airport.
The project will extend Taxiway Bravo to the north end of the runway, add two new taxiway connections, extend the parallel vehicle service road, and upgrade airfield lighting and navigational equipment. These improvements are designed to improve aircraft movement and airport operations.
The overall project has an estimated budget of $10.2 million, with approximately 90% expected to be reimbursed through state and federal grants. The Town's share will be funded entirely through the Airport Fund, with no impact on the General Fund or property tax revenues. Design work is planned for FY2027, with construction anticipated in FY2028 and FY2029, subject to grant funding.
