At its June 9 meeting, the City Council reviewed the draft Wayfinding and Signage Master Plan, a long-term strategy designed to improve navigation, strengthen Addison's identity, and create a more cohesive experience for residents and visitors.
The plan proposes a coordinated system of gateway monuments, directional signs, trail markers, and district identifiers that will help people navigate the community while reinforcing the Addison brand. The draft plan incorporates feedback gathered from residents during the Spring 2025 Town Meeting and is intended to guide wayfinding improvements over the next 10 to 20 years. During the work session, Council provided feedback on sign design concepts and encouraged staff to explore solar-powered signage where practical.
The plan is expected to return to City Council for formal consideration at a future meeting.
