Statewide Emergency Testing Planned for Thursday, April 2

On Thursday, April 2, at the request of the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), a statewide test of emergency alerting systems will occur between 10am and 12:30pm. As part of this drill, local jurisdictions across Texas may test systems used to notify the public during emergencies.

Council Approves Event Safety Barriers

At its March 24 meeting, the City Council approved two agreements with Advanced Security Technologies LLC for MVB3X Modular Vehicle Barriers to enhance safety at special events. A purchase agreement in an amount not to exceed $99,934 was approved and funded through a $100,000 Justice Assistance Grant secured by the Addison Police Department.

At its March 24 meeting, the City Council approved a professional services agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates in an amount not to exceed $2,349,425 for the design of public infrastructure associated with the Addison Junction development near Addison Circle Park.
