The Finance team will be relocating to the former Town Hall at 5300 Belt Line Road on April 6.
Part of Proposition B of the 2019 Bond Program is reconstructing Montfort Drive from Belt Line Road south to the city limit line north of Paladium Drive. Montfort Drive was originally built in the early 1980s. There will be some minor utility work as a part of this project. Some of the Master Transportation elements will be installed as a part of this project.
With City Council approval of Change Order #2 to the design contract, extending the limits of the project south to Celestial Road, the Design Consultant is moving forward with the design of the project. The limits for the project now start at Belt Line Road and extend to just south of Celestial Road. The project will include vehicle and pedestrian improvements; utility and drainage improvements, and landscape, hardscape, and lighting improvements. The design for the project is scheduled to be completed in late 2026 and construction is anticipated to begin in mid 2027.
On April 21, 2025, the City of Dallas Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, comprised of City of Dallas City Council members, recommended approval of the Montfort Drive boundary adjustment to Celestial Drive. The next step is to receive formal approval from the City of Dallas City Council at a City Council meeting in late May/early June. This is an instrumental step in the Montfort Drive reconstruction project.
City Council approved Change Order # 1 to the design contract, expanding the limits 500 linear feet south of the current project limits through the Paladium intersection and reducing the vehicle lane geometry to increase pedestrian and landscape opportunities on Montfort Drive.
The Town has received the 60% plans from the design engineer for review.
The town has received the 30% conceptual plans from the design engineer for review. It is anticipated that the 60% plans will be completed at the beginning of March 2024.
City Council awarded a Professional Services Agreement for the design of Montfort Drive Reconstruction to Kimley-Horn and Associates.
