ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES:

The Town of Addison does not have an animal shelter. All impounded animals are boarded at a local veterinary clinic. Animal Control services are provided Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please contact the Public Works Department at (972) 450-2871. After hours and on weekends, emergency Animal Control is provided on an "On Call" basis by contacting the Addison Police Department. Please dial 911.

You may register your animal(s) at our Service Center at 16801 Westgrove, 972-450-2871. Fees are: $3.00 (if neutered), $5.00 (if not). You must have a current proof of rabies vaccination. You can mail your check plus the proof of rabies vaccination to 16801 Westgrove 75001. We will mail your tags to you.


SOLID WASTE COLLECTION:

Commercial:
The Town of Addison does not provide commercial solid waste collection services. Businesses (including apartment complexes) contract with private collection companies.

Residential:
The Town of Addison contracts with Waste Management, Inc., for the collection of garbage from single-family residences. Collection occurs at curbside or alley Monday and Thursday beginning at 7:00 AM. Please do not put any type of trash or recycling items out any sooner than the night before the collection day. Service is suspended for three holidays per year if the holiday falls on a Monday or Thursday. These holidays are: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

Residential large items and brush collection occurs every Monday. Special collection on weekdays other than Monday can be arranged by contracting the Public Works Department at (972)-450-2840.

Curbside recycling is provided for all single-family residences every Monday beginning at 7:00 AM.
