Alarm Permits
Alarm permits are required for both residential and business alarms, according to Town Ordinance #000-001. A copy of the ordinance may be viewed on another part of the Town’s web site, or a copy can be obtained from the Town Hall, at 972-450-7000.

Fees
The annual renewal fee for business is $25, billable in January of the upcoming year. The fee will be prorated if you are applying after January. There is no annual fee for residential alarms. To apply, contact the Records Department at 972-450-7104.

False Alarms?
Burglar alarms - if an alarm has had five chargeable false alarm calls in the twelve-month duration of the alarm permit, the permit holder will be assessed a service fee of $50 for each subsequent false alarm call answered.

Robbery/Hold-up alarms - If an alarm has had one false alarm call in the twelve-month duration of the alarm permit, the permit holder shall be assessed a service fee of $75 for that call and for each subsequent false alarm call answered.
