Mark Acevedo, Director of General Services

Mark Acevedo began with the Town in Addison in 1982 and is currently the Director of General Services.  Mark ensures that all Town facilities are maintained to be an attractive and comfortable environment conducive to conducting Town business, and the city's fleet of vehicles and equipment are maintained to meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.  Mark manages Facilities and Fleet, Mail Services, and Central Warehouse.  Mark also serves as staff liaison to Addison Airport and is responsible for general oversight of activities and operations associated with the airport.

Mark's career with the Town of Addison began in the Street Department.  Shortly there after he became the Animal Control Officer, Signs & Signal Technician, Streets Crew Leader, and between 1985-87 held the position of Street Superintendent. In 1987 Mark was promoted to manage the operations of the Facilities and Fleet Services Division.  In October 2000, Mark became the Administrator of Facilities and Fleet Services and the Towns' liaison to Addison Airport. In January 2004, Mark was promoted to Director of General Services.

Mark graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.  He is certified by the American Public Works Association in Fleet Management and has completed the Airport Engineering and Management Program at the University of Texas, Austin.

Mark is a member of the National Equipment Maintenance Council, National Association of Fleet Administrators, and the National Association of Airport Executives.  He is on the Board of Directors for the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce and has also served twice on the Executive Board as Vice-Chairman of Organizational Development and Vice-Chairman of Leadership Development.
