Todd Meier was elected to the City Council in 2007.  Prior to his election he served as vice chairman of the Addison Planning and Zoning Commission.  Todd is a 2004 graduate of the Town of Addison Citizen Academy and a 2006 graduate of Leadership Metrocrest with the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce.  Todd's undergraduate degree is from Washington University in St. Louis in Urban Studies and he earned his law degree at Southern Methodist University.

Since 1998, Todd has been engaged in the evaluation of companies and their services for his private investment firm based in Addison.  Previously, Todd was an assistant district attorney and chief prosecutor for Dallas County.  For many years Todd served as president and general manager at the Rodger Meier Cadillac, Meier Infiniti and Meier Oldsmobile dealerships located on LBJ Freeway.

Todd's civic, community and educational organizations include:  current Metrocrest Social Services board member; President of Towne Lake Homeowners' Association; board member of the State Fair of Texas, member of Young Presidents' Organization.  Previously Todd served as board member of the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan Dallas, Friends of the Dallas Police, and president of Salesmanship Club of Dallas and New Car Dealers Association.  He also is former chairman of the Dallas Police Drug Oversight Task Force.  Todd is a current member of the Dallas and Texas Bar Association.

Todd has two children.
