Roger Mellow was first elected to the City Council in May 2005.  Prior to his election to City Council, he served as a Planning & Zoning Commissioner, was a 2002 graduate of the Addison Citizen Academy, a member of the 2003 Addison Charter Review Commission, a 2004 graduate of the North Central Texas Council Of Governments Professional Development Planning and Zoning, and a 2004 graduate of Leadership Metrocrest.

Roger serves as the Town of Addison Liaison to the Metrocrest Family Medical Clinic and Senior Adult Services.  In addition Roger serves on Addison Council Committees including the Business Retention, Economic Development, Business Growth and Development, Internal Health Cost Analysis, Human Resources/Government, and the Zip Code Committee.

Roger has been a resident of Addison since 2001.  He previously was a builder and in the Real Estate and Investment businesses.  Roger graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Business and Real Estate.  Roger is a licensed Real Estate Broker, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Hella Temple Shrine.

Roger and his lovely wife Harriet have been married for 49 years.  They have two great children and five super grandchildren.
