Margie Gunther has lived in Addison since 2008 after moving to the North Texas area in 1972. Margie graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelors of Arts in Speech and Hearing, from Northwestern University with a Masters of Arts in Speech Pathology and has completed post-graduate studies at Texas Christian University and the University of North Texas.  She has been employed in the Texas public schools as a teacher, speech pathologist, counselor and then, administrator. She has most recently served as the Executive Director of Special Education for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD from 1999 until retiring in 2009.  Currently, Margie works part-time for Psychological Software Solutions, an educational software company, where she trains teachers in Dallas ISD as well as other nearby school districts.

Margie has a daughter, Carrie, who lives in Seattle, WA.  Margie's hobbies include golf, gardening and enjoying the Arts.  Her Cairn Terrier Trixie loves living in Addison as well.
