Joe Chow was elected Mayor of Addison in May of 2005.  Joe was first elected to the City Council in May of 2002 and served as Mayor Pro Tempore in 2004.  Joe moved to the states from Taiwan in 1979 and completed his Master of Administrative Studies at Southeastern Oklahoma University in December,1980.  After working for several businesses in the restaurant industry, Joe opened his own restaurant, May Dragon in 1986.  He holds a real estate license and is Agency Owner for Allstate Insurance.

Joe is involved in numerous activities including:  the Dallas Assembly, the Addison Business Association, and serves on the Board of the following organizations: North Texas Commission, World Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce, Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of North America and its Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter, and Greater Asian American Chamber of Commerce.

Mayor Chow enjoys his free time playing various sports and spending time with his four children and wife, Chi Chi Lin.
