Jimmy Niemann is serving his third term on the Addison City Council.  Prior to serving on the City Council, Jimmy was a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission.  Jimmy is a graduate of Addison Citizen Academy and successfully completed the Leadership Metrocrest program.

Jimmy worked for EDS from 1979 to 1999 and from 2002 until his retirement in 2005.  From 1999 to 2002, he was employee #2 of e-Rewards Inc. (a successful Internet start-up) having served as its original Chief Technology Officer.  In 2004 he was awarded the distinction of EDS Fellow, a title given to "innovative thought leaders."  Currently Jimmy serves as the senior technology leader in a start-up company, e-Miles.

Jimmy graduated with a BA degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976 and received his law degree in 1979.  Jimmy is licensed to practice law in Texas, and maintains his professional certification.  Jimmy has been granted two patents by the US Patent and Trademark office, with several others pending.

Jimmy and his wife Janiece enjoy traveling and have had the pleasure of visiting all 7 continents.
