Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children

Joe Chow, Mayor of the Town of Addison do hereby proclaim the fourth Monday of every September as
Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children

In 2007, the President, all 50 Governors and the Mayors and Executives of more than 750 cities and counties across the nation proclaimed or supported Family Day A Day to Eat Dinner with Your ChildrenTM.

The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University launched Family Day in 2001 after CASA research consistently found that the more often children eat dinner with their parents, the less likely they are to smoke, drink or use illegal drugs. Last year, millions of Americans celebrated Family Day as well as scores of schools, community and nonprofit groups and religious organizations nationwide.
